Sometimes you don’t have the ability to get more space by building out so you go Up and Over. This client wanted a larger master suite. Their lot was not large enough to do a main floor addition. The solution was building above the existing attached garage. They wanted to maintain as much of the existing structure and exterior finishes as possible. The new front elevation repeated the stucco bump-outs on the second floor. The client was happy with the finished product; it gave them everything they wanted in the floor plan and maintained the style of the existing house. It fits in well with neighbouring properties.
